Transformation

[Mary Magdalene] turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?”

Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”

Jesus said to her, “Mary.”

She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic,“Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”).

Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.

John 20:14

Your desire for transformation is perfectly fulfilled in Jesus’ Resurrection.

Forgiveness: The resurrection of Jesus is your invitation to full forgiveness.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

“The gospel is this: We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.”

~ Tim Keller

Freedom: The resurrection of Jesus is your opportunity to experience true freedom

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:16-17

Future: The resurrection of Jesus is your hope of a future.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

Romans 10:9-10

Forgiveness, Freedom, and Future

Dear Jesus,

I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life, and I turn to you, asking for forgiveness of my sins.

Thank You that You died on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven and truly set free. I receive by faith your kind grace, merciful forgiveness, and the powerful gift of Your Spirit.

I invite you, Lord, into my life right now.

Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
