The Power and Potential of the Kingdom

…since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”

Hebrews 12:28

He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”

Mark 4:26 - 29

1.    God’s work and purposes cannot and will not be stopped. His Kingdom and His Church are advancing.

Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.

Mark 4:27 - 28

And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Matthew 16:18

2.    God is still moving and working even when we are not aware.

3.    We are active participants in God’s plan to advance His Kingdom, Church and purposes.

A man scatters seed on the ground…

Where has God called you to plant the seed of the kingdom?
